Nuestros profesores enseñan gramática, conversación, análisis de textos, cine argentino comentado. Miguel es un importante profesor de la Universidad Católica de Salta con sede en Buenos Aires. Silvina se ha especializado en apoyo universitario tanto a argentinos como a extranjeros. El apoyo que ha brindado se ha concentrado en el sistema de enseñanza oficial de Argentina, especialmente en las áreas de gramática castellana, filosofía, lógica y gramática constrastiva francés-castellano, italiano-castellano para alumnos universitarios y terciarios, y clases particulares o grupos pequeños a aspirantes al Nacional Buenos Aires, ILSE, Carlos Pellegrini y CBC. Antes de abrir su propia y pequeña academia, fue profesora en el prestigioso centro Class Home y en el popular Mariano Moreno. Desde hace dos años se reencontró con uno de sus viejos compañeros de universidad, Miguel, y juntos han trazado los senderos de lo que hoy llamamos Proyecto San Telmo. Miguel por su parte, dedica solo el fin de semana y ad honorem su colaboración al Proyecto San Telmo dado que sus funciones en el conocido Banco Santander Río y en la Universidad Católica de Salta no le dejan más tiempo libre.
En nuestra academia, los aranceles han sido tradicionalmente accesibles.

CELU (Certificado De Español: Lengua y Uso)- Spanish Certificate: Language and Usage. In October of 2001, the Ministerio de Educación y Relaciones Exteriores set out the guidelines for the assessment of Spanish in Argentina.In June of 2004, a consortium was created by the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires (http://www.rec.uba.ar/), Córdoba (http://www.unc.edu.ar/), and the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (http://www.unl.edu.ar/) with the task to design and implement the first Argentinean exam for Spanish as a foreign language.
The Ministerio de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología from the República Argentina aims to respond to the need to certify knowledge of Spanish as a foreign language. This certification is geared for foreigners that live in our country and foreign students who are studying Spanish at their home universities and are interested in obtaining a standardized Spanish Language Certificate.
The CELU or Spanish Certificate: Language and Usage evaluates oral and written linguistic competence of Spanish as a foreign language in daily, social, work related or academic situations irrespectively of the candidates’ mother tongue or the kind of language training that they have received.
The CELU accounts for 3 levels of Spanish: basic, intermediate and advanced. Broadly speaking, achieving a basic level means that the candidate has a proficient ability to communicate in simple and predictable situations both daily and while traveling. The intermediate level corresponds with a speaker who can deal with family situations and a wide variety of social interactions in a natural manner. Although an intermediate speaker can enroll in undergraduate courses at the University, he/she may still find difficulty in dealing with unfamiliar situations and may lack precision. The advanced CELU level implies the ability to linguistically interact confidently and spontaneously in a wider range of family, social, work related and academic contexts.

To pass this examination in one of the most prestigious latin american universities allows you to obtain credits automatically for your local university.
The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera normally called DELE, issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Social Policies and Sport, are official qualifications accrediting different levels of competence and command of the Spanish language.
The University of Salamanca collaborates with the mentioned institute both in the development of the examinations and in the marking of the examination papers.

DELE is the official test in Spanish as a foreign language and stands for DELE, the Spanish Diploma as a Foreign Language. The Instituto Cervantes is the organization in charge of the DELE Spanish language exams although in practice the exam is set and corrected by Salamanca University. These Diplomas are recognized worldwide by private companies, chambers of commerse and public and private educational systems. The Diplomas in Spanish are ideal for gaining promotion within the labour market and for accessing educational institutions, both in Spain and in the more than 100 countries where the tests are administered.

¿Qué curso de español debería elegir? ¿Qué parámetros debo tener en cuenta para tomar esta decisión?
Si estás pensando en rendir el examen DELE, lo más conveniente desde nuestro punto de vista, sería que contrates un profesor particular durante unos meses y luego tomes un curso breve de repaso en el centro donde vas a rendir el examen. En Buenos Aires podés rendir ese examen en la Fundación Ortega y Gasset, por ejemplo. Con clases privadas vas más rápido y aprendés con mayor profundidad. No te olvides de avisarle a tu profesor que querés rendir el examen. Si contrataste un docente profesional, sabrá orientar las clases exclusivamente hacia esa instancia, si ése es tu deseo, claro.
Sin embargo, hay personas que solo disfrutan de los cursos grupales. Para esos casos recomendamos la formación de un grupo de estudio de dos o tres personas, cuatro como máximo. Se contrata un docente, se bajan los costos, y se aprende en grupo.
Lugares para elegir, hay muchos. Profesores, en la ciudad de Buenos Aires… ya sabemos que abundan. Se trata de una gran ciudad donde todos tratamos de perfeccionarnos y no quedarnos estancados.

Proyecto San Telmo offers a range of short Spanish language courses that will allow you to improve your Spanish and academic skills.
Spanish Grammar for Native English Speakers.
Essential grammar tools you should have learned in school, but probably didn’t.
This course is ideal as a prologue for those who didn’t learn basic grammar at school.
You will have the tools you need to make faster progress in improving your level of spoken and written Spanish.
Provided in levels 1, 2 and 3.

Tuition is provided in Spanish Language.

It is recommended to take intensive or regular Spanish courses after or during the course. This course is ideal if you need to improve enormously – for example for University entrance later in the year. You should reach a level of near fluency in Spanish if you study intensively for either 20 or 24 weeks.
Intensive Spanish Course
The 20-lesson per week programe will allow you to improve your Spanish above all else. We recommend that you take exams such as towards the end of your stay.

We are a very small school located in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of San Telmo which practices Fair Trade. We truly believe that every student succeeds at Proyecto San Telmo. Our teachers and students are working hard to make Proyecto San Telmo the best school it can be.
Our teaching method
Our philosophy of teaching and learning is based on Piaget and Vigotsky principles.
We follow teaching methods based on the communicative approach. High-quality level classes, weekly quizzes and quality control by the students are some of the pillars on which Proyecto San Telmo bases its work in order to keep the interest and daily effort of our students. Our objective is to impart confidence in the student to be able to speak Spanish. Our method improves student’s oral communication and speaking skills. In class the students learn by reading speaking and listening. They are encouraged to participate in role-plays and discussions where they are required to speak and listen to their colleagues. This gives them a chance to apply what they are learning and prepares them to face similar situations in real life. We are inspired by the European Framework of Reference for Teaching Languages and Instituto Cervantes guidelines.
