Taco Thursdays & Raw Vegan Lecture at Freak

This Thursday, I will be offering a free informal lecture on the benefits of a Raw Vegan Diet. Following the lecture will be a short Q & A period (question and answer) and some free samples. Basically, I will walk around and visit with everyone, give them an overview on Raw Vegan cuisine and answer any questions. Our host, Freak Restaurant, will also be offering drink specials all night and tacos, quesadillas and nachos.

WHEN: Lecture and Q&A from around 8pm until 9pm with drinks afterwards
WHERE: Freak Restaurant, Fitzroy 1715 (Palermo Hollywood, near the corner of Honduras)
For those of you unfamiliar with my background, here is a bit of information:

My main area of formal training and expertise is in the art of the preparation of Raw and Living Vegan Cuisine. I earned certification as a Raw Food Chef and Instructor through the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute of California under the direction of World renowned Raw Vegan Gourmet Chef Cherie Soria. I continued my education there earning post-graduate certifications in Raw Event Catering & Food Design, and Elegant Entertaining. (Living Light is the only school of its type in the worId the last time I checked.)

I also studied under Alissa Cohen and completed all three levels of her training to include Chef, Instructor, and Teacher certifications from her Living on Live Food Certification Program. As a Level 3 graduate, I am also qualified to certify others in Alissa Cohen’s Living on Live Food Level 1 Chef and Level 2 Instructor Certification Courses. Of particular note, Alissa has decided to quit teaching the Level 3 Certification Course, making that certification and the ability to teach level 2 very exclusive.

I have worked as a vegetarian teacher offering hands-on classes, Alissa Cohen certification classes and have worked as a private chef and caterer since 2003. I was also the associate director of Wellness Within, a wellness center in San Francisco’s East Bay Area, from 2004 to 2006 and also worked there as a nutritional consultant, personal coach, instructor, and gave numerous lectures on the benefits of a vegetarian and raw vegan diet there and around the area.

I have been headquartered in Buenos Aires since late 2006 working part time as a personal chef, guest chef, restaurant consultant and cooking instructor. I have worked with prestigious clients such as Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia and President of Wikia, Inc., and Emily Franklin, author of “Too Many Cooks: Kitchen Adventures with 1 Mom, 4 Kids, 102 New Recipes ~ A Memoir of Tasting, Testing, and Discovery in the Kitchen”.

If anyone has any questions, you can feel free to contact me in the usual ways at any time.

As usual we will be offering:

Raw Vegan & Beef Tacos,
Quesadillas,
Nachos for 2
and Drink Specials all evening (both with alcohol and without).
